Local parks and gardens make a beautiful backdrop for your photoshoot. With fields, wildflowers, trails, lakes, and seasonal blooms, these spots offer a relaxed and timeless backdrop.

Minooka Park
Waukesha, WI
Minooka Park is a stunning county park featuring wooded trails, open fields, tall grasses—and a sandy beach by a calm pond. It’s an ideal setting for photoshoots, offering a natural, relaxed backdrop with seasonal wildflowers and varied landscapes perfect year-round.
An annual county park membership or daily vehicle permit is required for entry.


















Fox River Park
Waukesha, WI
Fox River Park feels like a slice of northern Wisconsin, right in Waukesha.
With mature woodlands, wildflowers, winding trails, and peaceful river views, it’s the perfect spot for nature-inspired photos year-round.
An annual county park membership or daily vehicle permit is required for entry.








Retzer Nature Center
Waukesha, WI
Retzer is a beautiful spot for photos if you love nature and a laid-back vibe. With tall pines, winding trails, and open views of Waukesha, it offers a mix of textures and tones—lush greens in summer and warm golds in fall. It’s especially stunning at sunset!
Free entry and parking available, no permit required.










Boerner Botanical Gardens
Hales Corners, WI
Boerner Botanical Gardens is a beautiful, polished location with seasonal blooms, stone pathways, and well-kept landscapes—great for those who want a more classic natural setting.
A Photo Permit and Pre-registration are required.















Lapham Peak
Delafield, WI
Lapham Peak offers scenic trails, wildflower fields, and a beautiful butterfly garden—perfect for those who want a natural, outdoorsy feel. With open meadows, shaded paths, and seasonal blooms, it’s a peaceful spot full of variety.

Ottawa Lake Recreation Area
Dousman, WI
Ottawa Lake is a peaceful spot with a sandy beach, calm water, wooded trails, and scenic docks—perfect for those who want a natural, laid-back vibe. With seasonal color and plenty of variety, it’s a beautiful location year-round.

Seven Bridges Trail in Grant Park
South Milwaukee, WI
Seven Bridges Trail in Grant Park is a hidden gem offering a magical, woodsy feel with winding trails, lannon stone paths, and footbridges tucked into a ravine. Perfect for nature lovers, the area features towering trees, seasonal wildflowers, and the peaceful sound of flowing water — all leading to a quiet shoreline on Lake Michigan. A stunning spot year-round, especially in spring and fall.
